基本解方法*早由V D Kupradze 在文章 Potential methods in elasticity J N Sneddon 和 R Hill (Eds), Progress in Solid Mechanics, Vol III, Amsterdam, pp 1-259, 1963 中提出。自 1963 年開始,出現大量基本解方法的計算,但鮮有對基本解方法的分析。本《基本解方法的理論及應用》,給出基本解方法的數值算法、特點,主要著力于建立其誤差和穩定性的理論分析。本《基本解方法的理論及應用》的嚴格分析(以及源節 點的選擇)為MFS提供了堅實的理論基礎,使其成為偏微分方程(PDE)的有效且稱職的數值方法。內容源于作者已經發表的論文,《基本解方法的理論及應用》介紹了MFS的基本和重要要素。
