本書是國際化教學系列英文教材，專門為國際留學生設計和編寫。本書從世界的視角對法醫學內涵進行闡述，對世界各國司法體制與法醫實踐進行比較，對法醫學實踐的相關問題進行探討，同時對中國和世界著名法醫人物及其成就進行介紹。希望這本書能讓學生從全球的角度，更多地了解和學習法醫學這門課程。

作者簡介

叢斌，中國工程院院士，博士，教授，主任法醫師，博士生導師。全國人大常委、法律委員會副主任委員，九三學社中央副主席，河北醫科大學副校長、法醫學系主任，中國法醫學會副會長，教育部法醫學教學指導委員會副主任委員，《中國法醫學雜誌》編委會副主任、副主編。從事法醫學教學、科研、檢案工作32年。主要研究領域為：機械性損傷與多器官功能障礙綜合征，瀰漫性軸索損傷，應激性損傷，飲酒後蛛網膜下腔出血等的死亡機制；毒品依賴的信號轉導機制；天然藥物毒性化合物分離、純化及其毒性機制等。此外，還長期致力於法醫分子遺傳學、法醫法學、病理生理學方面的研究，在腐敗檢材降解DNA分型技術、縮膽囊素的細胞調節、急性肺損傷、內毒素休克、自身免疫性疾病發病機制等方面的研究取得重要成果。辦理過多起全國性的大案、要案。以第一完成人獲國家科技進步一等獎l項，二等獎2項，省部級一等獎3項；主編《實用法醫學》和全國統編教材等專著8部；發表論文420餘篇，單篇最高影響因子40 197。培養博士、博士后56名，碩士93名。
