本書作者所在研究團隊探索了一種三涵道旋翼垂直起降固定無人機的構型，採用涵道結構形式提高垂直飛行時旋翼的效率，同時為較小涵道阻力，將涵道與機翼氣動融合，尾部採用可左右傾轉的涵道風扇來進行操縱控制。本書主要針對複合式構型的無人機開展飛行動力學建模與飛行控制方法研究。本書的建模及控制對象主要針對具有結構創新形式的複合式無人機，尤其以三涵道旋翼布局的複合式無人機開展的飛行動力學建模與控制方法研究，所研究的對象具有一定的創新性，將涵道的較高垂直飛行效率與固定翼相融合。
