內容簡介

全書以客觀唯心主義立場，敘述了意識從自發到自覺的各個發展階段，即「意識」、「自我意識」、「理性」、「倫理精神」、「宗教」、「絕對知識」，並把這些階段說成是人類意識在歷史中所經歷的發展階段的縮影。該書有豐富的辯證法思想，並猜測到了邏輯和歷史的統一，但始終把「絕對精神」作為自己哲學的最基本的概念，讓邏輯和歷史統一于「絕對精神」。該書初步建立了黑格爾哲學體系的基本輪廓和基本概念。尤其是書中對萊布尼茨的「形而上學」的批判，為後世人本主義哲學的發展奠定了基礎。
