內容簡介
本書是北京交通大學電子信息工程學院電磁場與電磁波課程組多年教學成果的結晶,基於最新版中文教材內容編寫而成。全書主要圍繞電磁場的基本理論進行介紹,共6章,內容涵蓋了矢量分析、靜電場、恆定電場、恆定磁場、時變電磁場和平面波。每章的結構基本相同,首先是內容簡介,然後是基本概念、基本理論介紹,關鍵公式的推導,以及與之對應的典型例題,接著是工程應用介紹,最後是本章內容的小結以及習題。全書列出了63道例題、155道習題,所有習題都附有答案。
本書適合作為通信、電子、自動化專業本科生「電磁場與電磁波」英文或雙語教學教材,對於從事電磁場課程教學的教師也有參考價值。

This book was compiled based on the Chinese text 「Electromagnetic fields and electromagnetic waves」 which has been used by School of Electronic and Information Engineering, Beijing Jiaotong University for many years The Chinese text has the following characteristics:
The accurate depiction of concepts and the theorems is particularly noted
The important knowledge points are emphasized and elaborated in detail
The logic of the contents is also fully considered in the arrangement of the contents of each chapter
The English text inherits these advantages In addition, we also did the following work during the writing process:
Many classical electromagnetic field textbooks were studied, and descriptions of abstract concepts such as divergence, gradient, and polarization were referred to
Examples and exercises reflects engineering application were designed
The introduction of scientific and technological applications were added
The purpose of the above efforts is to make the contents of the text reflect the combination of theory and practice, so as to facilitate the students』 understanding of abstract concepts and complex theories, and to improve their interest in learning the electromagnetic field theory
There are six chapters in the book In Chapter 1 vector analysis, the concept and analysis methods of vector, concepts and the physical significance of gradient, divergence and rotation are mainly discussed Chapters 2 through 4 introduce static fields, including electrostatic field, steady electric field and steady magnetic field Time-varying fields are discussed in Chapters 5 and 6, including the time-varying electromagnetic fields and the plane wave
Each chapter includes:
Rich illustrations A large number of diagrams are given, especially for various field distributions, making the abstract fields more intuitive
Various exercises Some exercises are simple applications of the formulas, some exercises focus on the training of students』 computing ability and skills, and some exercises are the further discussion and practical application of theorems and formulas of the text
Summary The main knowledge points and key formulas are summarized at the end of each chapter
In addition, all the answers to the exercises of each chapter are given at the end of the book
