作者簡介

季羡林（1911 8 6-2009 7 11），國際著名東方學大師、語言學家、文學家、國學家、佛學家、史學家、教育家和社會活動家。歷任中國科學院哲學社會科學部委員、聊城大學名譽校長、北京大學副校長、中國社會科學院南亞研究所所長，北京大學終身教授等。早年留學國外，通英、德、梵、巴利文，能閱俄、法文，尤其精於吐火羅文，是世界上僅有的精於此語言的幾位學者之一，「梵學、佛學、吐火羅文研究並舉，中國文學、比較文學、文藝理論研究齊飛」，曾三辭「國學大師、學界泰斗、國寶」桂冠。
